In case of pain, be it severe or not, you can always rely on an over-the-counter pain reliever – such as ibuprofen or naproxen. Even though they may not help treat the burn wound itself, they can free you of the pain and make you able to search for remedies.

5.   Antibiotic Ointments

Moreover, after applying cool water for around 20 minutes, you should also wash the burned area with water and mild soap.
