Diet pills have become common, quick fix drugs for weight loss. Some people, instead of working out, survive on diet pills, skipping meals for losing weight. However, side effects of diet pills are many which can be seen in as time goes on.

3. Avoidance of social situations where food may be present

Some people avoid going to social places like malls, restaurants, dinner invitations where food is served. This is a common problem with people who plan to go on diet or skip meals. They avoid such place thinking that their control may not be successful and they might end up eating more than desired.

Many people do not exercise regularly and face many health problems. However, some people also face problem because of excess exercising. Performing regular exercise is a good thing. However, compulsive exercise can be one symptom of eating disorders. It is simply another source for people to burn off their calories in a faster way. People with eating disorders go twice or thrice a day for workout and perform the exercise at least 1 hour daily thinking that it can affect their weight. It is a psychological disorder, where a person is bound to exercise in an effort to burn excess calories and fat reserves. However, it has many negative effects on their health.

9. Depression

Depression is one common problem among the patients with eating disorders. Such a symptom is seen because overweight or obese people feel chronically depressed with the way they look. Due to this depression, they try to skip meals or control their hunger. Sometimes, such people also feel disgusted with themselves, worsening their depression. It can affect their whole body physiology and the way they sleep and eat. It can also affect the way they handle real life issues and decisions.
