1. Excess of everything is bad
I am 35, and I was suffering from a host of problems like recurrent yeast vaginal infections, dandruff, patchy itchy skin rashes, itchy ears, fatigue, headaches, IBS and so on. I met with my GP who told me that all these symptoms were inter-related as I was suffering from an overgrowth of yeast in my body. After a discussion, she told me that my excessive intake of antibiotics is what has caused this problem that has been aggravated into a benign condition called mitral valve prolapse. The frequent use of antibiotics has killed the potentially dangerous bugs along with the healthy ones as well, which have impacted my immunity adversely. I was given medication and put on a Candida diet. I feel much better now and have decided to spread the awareness of the side-effects of over-consumption of antibiotics!
2. An inspiring story
I had a sudden onset of sinusitis infection last year, shortly after getting married. Because of that I had to take two courses of antibiotic back-to-back. A couple of months after my son was born, I began to have frequent bouts of backache, stomach bloating, brain fog, fatigue and skin rashes. After a couple of weeks, the doctor diagnosed it as candida fungal overgrowth and I was suggested to go on the Candida diet. Whilst I was on the Candida diet, the symptoms would completely vanish, but once I strayed, it would come back. It is impossible to stay on a Candida diet that forbids all kinds of sugar, even natural sugars, fruits, grains and other foods. Then my husband, while browsing for Candida cures, came across the story of a man who had a similar situation. He wrote about how he cured himself with a natural Candida cleansing product called Threelac™ from GHT. This is a rare probiotic and his writing gave me a lot of hope. We ordered the product and are happy with the results. I am feeling a lot better in terms of health and the symptoms also seem to have mellowed down. I still have to finish the course, but I am extremely hopeful of the outcome!
3. A genuine advise that worked for me
I have been plagued by urinary tract infections or UTIs for many years which has made me dependent on antibiotics to cure the bacterial infection. However, each time I took the antibiotics, I’d instantly start having itchy vaginal yeast infections, which led to more medication! However, I did get some relief from UTI for a couple of months but I still felt unwell. I kept getting bowel disturbances, toenail fungus and flu-like symptoms. Another trip to the doctor and I was to undergo the regular tests that came out “normal”. The doctor gave separate medicines for the respective ailments, but still it didn’t get rid of the symptoms. Then one day a friend gave me a special medicine which was a combined homeopathy and natural medication. I went in for a stool test, which revealed that I had a massive overgrowth of candida yeast fungus which had taken over my intestines. This development had been happening over the past two years I kept getting repeated UTIs. As a result, the candida lowered my immunity, making me susceptible to many illnesses. I instantly started off this natural herbal medication along with probiotics, natural yeast cleansers along with a change in my diet and lifestyle. Well, now I am proud to say that I am completely free of yeast infection and UTIs with the help of homeopathy and herbal medicine!
4. Gradual recovery
It has been a while since I have been suffering from recurring yeast infections and urinary tract infections or UTIs. Last year I had around 11 episodes of yeast infections and just a few months back I almost had four infections in a month and a half! The doctor told me that my excessive intake of antibiotics for combating UTIs is what led to the yeast infection. The yeast infection is very painful and it is like a throbbing abdominal pain where your belly simply swells. The doctor has put me on pills along with a cream for external application for two weeks. I would have to do four more rounds of this treatment before I get cured. It has been two weeks along, and I am responding pretty well.
