1. Live life king size

I had a first heart attack at the age of 45 and another at the age of 60. I had gone through various surgeries as my heart was not functioning properly. These reasons were enough for me to live a sad life. And now as a retired personnel, the scenario added loneliness to my life. I used to stay on my bed the whole day and passing day was actually too difficult for me. Recently, one of my friend visited me with whom I discussed my problem. He had recently shifted in my neighborhood, which brought a smile on my face. He actually made me realize that life is too short and we must enjoy it. Too impressed and motivated by his talks I changed my living style. Now, I am having a cheerful life, I go with my friend on walk, pass my time in park with kids and of course go for regular treatment. I am really very thankful to my friend who changed my life and brought scores of happiness in it.

2. My little angel

I came back after my days work and suddenly felt pain in my left arm, shoulder and neck. I was not aware that this was a threatening symptom and took a hot water shower to relax my muscles and got relieved from the same. The next day pain came back and I broke out sweating badly. These were severe symptoms of heart attack and suddenly I called ambulance, where I was given immediate medication and was kept under observation. The moment I reached the hospital I was given proper treatment by well known cardiologists. Besides taking medicines on time, I was advised to regularly exercise as that would keep my heart active. My busy schedule and work pressure was restricting me from exercises, but my daughter helped me by always reminding me to do it on time. Her care, love and affection forced me to take care of myself. Today I am living a happy and healthy life.

3. I got a new life

At the age of 33, I was diagnosed with postpartum cardiomyopathy, I had no idea of what doctors were talking about. It is actually scarier than it sounds. I have never thought that something like this could happen to me at this age. The doctors kept me calm and took my proper care. I was finally suggested to do heart transplant, which was a major operation. I was very scared, but my little kids were inspiration and a reason for me to live. Doctors got to know that a girl died in an accident and her parents are donating her organs. Their noble action saved my life and I got immediate treatment. The operation was successful and still I have to go for daily check up. I changed my food habits and started exercising daily. It took too long for me to get back to my normal routine. My kids actually inspired me to recover from this and now I am living a happy life with them. That day even I decided to donate my organs and save the life of the other people.

4. It took me long

I was used to rigorous physical activities, during my tenure and now, it was time for me to retire from the service. My retirement party was going on, when I suddenly had a sinking pain in my chest. I ignored it after a while, but next day during jogging the pain was back. I discussed it with my friend who was a cardiologist, he suggested me to go for electrocardiography, and I was diagnosed properly. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) was discovered in reports and I was shocked to hear that. I was suggested to go for a surgery. I thought going for the surgery is better than going through the pain. It brought good news for me and my family. I was out of the trauma, but it took too long for me to get back to my daily routine. Now, I am living a happy and trauma free life, as my timely action and right decision saved my life.

5. I regained my lost confidence

I was lying down on sofa, hoping that the pain would stop, but my heart was racing and the pain was terrible. My elder son realized that this is something really serious and called an ambulance. I was given aspirin to chew and my electrocardiogram (ECG) test was taken which recorded electrical activity in the heart. When I reached hospital I was given proper drugs to dissolve any clots in the blood that may have given rise to heart attacks. It was too serious and was paining too badly, I was sent for angiogram, as doctors were doubtful that I could get another attack soon. I was relieved to know that the reports were normal. I was given proper treatment and medication and was advised to join rehabilitation, which really helped me a lot. I learned about healthy eating and exercises that actually saved my life. And most importantly I gained the confidence to live happy and cheerful life. Itโ€™s been two years and I am still living a happy, healthy life. This course and proper medication actually helped me to move on.
