Acupuncture is traditionally being implemented to treat various health conditions like hormonal problems, musculoskeletal issues, etc. The technique allows insertion of multiple thin needles through the skin. The acupuncture points are predefined and are decided on the basis of the flow of vital energy. The needles are inserted under the skin for an average time of about 20 minutes, during which rapid flow of energy is stimulated. Researchers now agree that the technique promotes natural secretion of some of the hormones, like endorphins, estrogen, and progesterone. The studies have confirmed that the technique is useful in hormone regularization, rapid control of pain, increase the flow of blood, etc. and hence these evidence findings on benefits of acupuncture for menopause.
