Arrhythmia triggered by cardiovascular events can be prevented by consuming 800 to 1,000 mg of decosahexanoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentanoic acid (EPA) daily. Alpha linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fat present in the plant kingdom, is also effective in preventing cardiac arrhythmia.
