1. Fever and flu

 Fever up to 102 degree Celsius and flu symptoms can be a contributing factor to adenoiditis.

2. Overeating of foods

Overeating of soft drinks and ice creams can lead to adenoiditis as they both pass through the mouth and enters the body. So overeating of cold water can also cause adenoiditis in the same manner.

3. Tonsillitis

If you have inflammation of the tonsils due to any bacterial infection or any other cause then there is a chance of you having adenoiditis, as tonsillitis and adenoiditis are closely related to each other.

4. Smoking

If the disease is in the gene of your ancestors then you may have chance to have adenoiditis. You can be at risk factor for having catching adenoiditis from the person with whom you are staying at home. If your parents had adenoidectomy which is removal of the adenoid glands then you are susceptible of having adenoiditis.
