I want to ask this simple question from you people? How serious can be a urinary tract infection for a diabetes patient? For almost five years, I have been diabetic. Last week I was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. The doctor had prescribed me an antibiotic with phenazopyridine for alleviating burning pain during urination. But one thing that is worrying me is during the time of prescription of medicines, my doctor was very much concern about my diabetes. So, I want to ask from you people that how serious can be a urinary tract infection for a diabetes patient? And what more I need to do for avoiding any side effect?
