Well, I need some help regarding slipped capital femoral epiphysis. Actually, my 13 year old son has just been diagnosed with this. It happens mostly in overweight children ducting puberty. Somebody told me that the growth plate at the top of the femur has separated from the bone and needs to be repaired, surgically. Does anybody of you know about slipped capital femoral epiphysis? Please help me.
