Why my right rib pain reoccurs again and again?

I don’t know the exact reason behind this but my pain always reoccurs in my right ribs. When I take pain killers and rest for some days it goes away completely but after few weeks it come back again. It is not so severe so till now I have not contacted with any doctor. So I want to ask this from you guys, what may be the reason behind reoccurring of this pain? And what is the permanent treatment for rib pain?
