What are the causes for inflamed pancreas for non smokers?

I am an accountant in a private bank. My age is 42 years old and let me tell you that I am a non-smoker. I only drink occasionally with my friends. My work is of sedentary nature. Last week I was having rapid heartbeat with swelling and tenderness in the abdomen. I was also experiencing nausea and vomiting along with loss of appetite. I had undergone an ultrasound a day before and the report says that I have inflamed pancreas. I want to know the causes for inflamed pancreas for non smokers? Could this be due to my occasional drinking?
