1. Drink plenty of water

Drink plenty of water everyday, at least eight glasses per day because good hydration encourages your nose to drain naturally. Thus, it reduces the risks of sinus and nasal congestion. Make sure that you body contains sufficient amount of fluids in order to ward off dehydration.

2. Avoid cigarettes, allergens and alcohol

Avoid smoking cigarettes and allergens. It is much better for you to stay away from molds, pollen and dust particles if you are sensitive to them. Nicotine present in the cigarettes is a significant trigger for headaches, so you should restrict cigarette smoking. The blood pressure increases because of nicotine, which leads to headaches. Alcohol is also a direct trigger for headaches, so it must also be avoided.

3. Reduce stress

Headaches are one of the many side effects of stress, so if you want to prevent headaches then you must aim at reducing stress in your life. There are several methods with the help of which you can reduce stress. For instance, yoga and meditation are one of the most effective stress busting techniques. Headaches can even arise when you work in places where lighting is not adequate. You can avoid eye strain by working in well lit environment.

4. Try acupuncture

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese therapy which uses needles to trigger points of blocked energy in the body. It is believed that when these needles are inserted into the skin then they free up the energy blocked up in there. This in turn prevents headaches and various other types of ailments.

5. Exercise everyday

Exercise is yet another approach for preventing headaches, and it is quite effective. Aerobic exercise is perfect for this purpose, you should perform this at least 4 times in a week. If you do not like aerobic exercises then some other simple activities such as a walk for 15 to 20 minutes can do the trick for you. These activities can generate endorphines that provide energy to your brain and body. The sinuses drain naturally if you exercise regularly, this reduces the chances of sinuses getting inflamed or clogged.

6. Get plenty of rest

Headaches can be a result of sleep deprivation as the brain needs to be rejuvenated daily, therefore, it is very important that you maintain regular sleeping patterns. Working for long period of time without any rest can cause headaches. You must follow the same sleeping schedule everyday, which means that you should sleep and wake up around the same time everyday. Erratic sleep patterns must be strictly avoided.

Headaches can be prevented with the help of herb sachets, you can make one such sachet by your own. Make sure that lavender is also included in the sachet, it is one of the primary ingredients as its scent helps the constricted vessels to receive less pressure, also the scent is very relaxing. 8. Purchase magnesium supplements

It has been observed that many headaches occur as a result of the drop in the magnesium levels in the brain. Magnesium supplements can be of great aid in such situations. Most magnesium supplements present in the market are available as 250 mg caplets. One such caplet per day is sufficient for maintaining a consistent level of magnesium inside the brain, thus preventing headaches. 9. Maintain a balanced and healthy diet
