Which is the best pain killer for ankle injury?

I have an ankle injury from 2 weeks and this afternoon I slipped over and hurt it again I think it’s just a sprain or something and I think hurting has made it worse. Please tell me what’s better for sprains? paracetamol or ibuprofen? What painkillers will help? Please suggest!
