1. Protect your joints

2. Drink sufficient amount of water

You can feel very tired or fatigued because of dehydration. Make it a part of your routine to drink sufficient amount of water (at least 8 glasses of water each day). Drinking sufficient amount of water also helps you in prevention of other type of medical complications.

3. Eat breakfast everyday

The level of the blood sugar is very low when you first wake up in the morning which leads to drowsiness and fatigue. Your body gets an energy boost if you eat a proper breakfast. The fatigue problem becomes worse of you are in the habit of skipping breakfast as this will drain your energy when the sugar level is already low. Although it is important to have nutritious meal even for lunch and dinner, breakfast is of utmost importance.

4. Get tested for anemia

The size and the number of the red blood cells get reduced because of anemia. Consequently, the energy production inside the body gets reduced because the iron in the red blood cells is not enough to bind to sufficient amount of oxygen. Make sure that your blood is tested for anemia. Discuss the solution with your doctor.

Therefore, the pain must be well managed in order to control fatigue. 6. Develop good sleep habits

Stress and anxiety get reduced if you have good sleep habits. You must follow a fixed routine everyday so that your body recognizes when it is time to sleep. For instance, each night go to bed at the same time and get up at the same time each day. Habits such as a warm bath before bed or reading before bed indicates to your body that it is time for sleeping. 7. Learn to control stress

You can increase your energy level considerably with the help of consistent and moderate sessions of aerobic exercise, 3 or 4 times a week for 30 to 45 minutes. However, make sure that you don’t over do this in hope of getting immediate results, in fact, this will prove to be counter productive to your goal of decreased fatigue and increased energy. 9. Be aware of medication side effects

One of the best ways to prevent fatigue is to be aware of the side effects of the medication which you have been taking. Most arthritis patients have to go through medications in order to treat pain and other symptoms associated with it. It has been found that one of the most noticeable and common side effects of these drugs is drowsiness. This side effect is associated with pain medications, some DMARDs, NSAIDs and tricylic antidepressants. Drowsiness may add to already present fatigue, if the medications are part of a daily regimen.
