It has to suffer climate changes, stress etc. which takes a toll on our skin. Our skin protects the internal components of our body from atmosphere, it guards us from pollution, it excretes toxic material from our body etc.

The basic skin care tips for daily skin care are

  1. Drink plenty of water

If you want to improve your complexion and give your skin a healthy look then you must drink at least 2 to 3 liters of water every day and if you do intense physical activity then you should drink more water. It is very important to keep your skin hydrated. If you don’t drink enough amounts of water then your skin will become dehydrated and no expensive beauty treatment or moisturizer can help you in the long run.

2. Eat healthy

Try to have a good quality food like fruits, grains, leafy vegetables, vegetables, some dairy products and lean meat. To function properly your skin requires vitamins, minerals, trace elements, amino acids, etc. and some natural skin care products do provide most of the nutrients but there is no alternative for the nutrients gained from the natural food.

3. Cleansing

Your skin absorbs dirt particles and many impurities from the atmosphere. So, one of the best and simple ways to have a healthy glow on your skin is to wash it. Different skin types need different cleansers but to start with, you can use mild and gentle cleansers. After cleansing your skin should not feel tight and dry because that will mean that you have washed away important layers of natural oils or you have left some soapy residue on your skin.

4. Relax

Stress can have unhealthy effects on your skin and body. Skin under undue coercion can gradually become thin and it loses the metabolism to regenerate itself. And many skin diseases make their way to your skin. So relax and be cheerful for a healthy skin.

5. Exercise

Exercise is very useful for your body and it also applies to your skin. Exercise helps to increase the blood circulation inside your body as a result it delivers important nutrients to skin cells. While exercising you will sweat and this will help the skin to clear clogged pores. Exercise for at least thirty minutes every day. Exercise helps to decrease stress and also fights acne.

6. Sleep

Sleeping is very important for your skin. While you sleep your skin rejuvenates and relaxes. While you are sleeping your skin replenishes itself.

7. Sunscreen

Dermatologists often advise to use sunscreen before stepping out in the bright sunlight. Sometimes you pay heed and sometimes you don’t care. It is good to include sunscreen as a part of your daily skin care because it will help you to protect your skin from the harmful UV rays of the sun.

8. Unhealthy habits

To keep your skin healthy you must get rid of all types of unhealthy habits. Even if you drink plenty of water, eat properly, cleanse your skin, take rest, exercise, go to bed on time and use sunscreen every time you go out, you will mess with all your progress if you don’t get rid of your unhealthy habits like smoking, drinking etc. Smoking reduces your blood circulation and prevents oxygen and important nutrients to reach your skin. It damages the texture of your skin. Drinking alcohol and caffeine dehydrates your skin and make it look dull.

9. Exfoliants

The dead skin cells of your body start accumulating on the top layer of your skin and this also gives your skin a dull look. To remove the dead skin cells you can use exfoliants and facial scrubs. But you should use them gently on your skin. The exfoliants and facial scrubs help to remove the dead skin cells and polish the skin underneath the layer of dead cells providing your skin a glowing texture.

10. Moisturizers

It is very important to use moisturizers. Even if you have a oily skin you are still in need of a moisturizer. For oily skin you can opt for light moisturizer. Always look for the moisturizer labeled “noncomedogenic” because this word means that it won’t clog your skin. The best time to use moisturizer is immediately after taking bath. Pat your skin gently and apply moisturizer this will help to lock the water and your skin can easily absorb it. This will make your skin appear hydrated, soft, and healthy.

For a proper skin care you must have the knowledge of the texture of your skin and you should follow the proper ways to maintain your skin.
