Are there any chances of kidney failure if creatinine level keeps increasing in blood?

Two months back I went to gym and from that time onwards my problem started. After the last checkup, the creatinine level in my blood was 1.8. The doctor told me that the reason behind this problem is muscle damage. Now the doctor had prescribed me some antibiotics and vitamins. Till now, I had not felt any type of problem, but my doctor told me that, increasing level of creatinine can be very dangerous for me and it can cause even kidney failure. So, I want to ask from you people what more I need to do? And are there any chances of kidney failure?
