Can anybody help me with suggestions for a broken swollen leg?

I broke my foot 2 years ago. The doctor had Put a soft cast on for only a week. 2 Years later my foot got swollen at the area where I broke it and I have pain when I put too much pressure on it. I don’t know the reason of my foot problem and I am really scared that if I will go to doctor he will have to break it or something. Please tell me that I shall go to doctor for this or nor or is there any other way that I can go for? Help!
