Can anyone suggest me some treatment for arm pain?

I am 43 years old and I am into a sitting job. In the past few years I have put on a lot of unhealthy weight which has given rise to my high blood pressure problem. Yesterday when I was sitting in the office I experienced a sudden sharp pain around my left arm. Could this be a symptom of Angina? I would appreciate if people can inform me about the treatment for left arm pain?
