8 Simple steps to smell fresh

Smell fresh

Body odor is an embarrassment which many face from time to time. You come in contact with so many people everyday, you do not want people to run away from you because of your body odor. Also the smell of your sweaty feet is intolerable and embarrasses you when you want to remove your shoes while visiting your friends’ or relatives’ house. Sweating is a natural process. It cools your body so that your body do not overheat. But this sweat produces odor when sweat from apocrine glands mix with skin bacteria. Being fresh makes you feel confident and get along with everyone without any tension of odor. Here are a few steps to make you feel fresh:

1. Good airflow in and out of body

Body odor can be avoided if there is proper circulation of air around your body. It is therefore recommended to wear loose fitted clothes so that sweat evaporates in air and hence there is no body odor. Tight fitted clothes do not allow air to flow and hence making the sweat to stay on till there are perspiration stains which are quite embarrassing.

2. Natural methods of deodorizing yourself

You can go in various natural methods of deodorizing yourself so as to decrease the bacteria in particular parts of your body specially armpits. Soak a cotton ball in rubbing alcohol and wipe it on your underarms. It kills bacteria and helps you deodorize. Also you can try hazel or tea tree oil which will too kill bacteria, keep you dry and hence prevent you from body odor.

3. Go green

Researches have shown that having green veggies helps combat body odor. It is because of the presence of chlorophyll in them. Chlorophyll has deodorizing effect on the body. You can prepare some or the other green leafy vegetable like spinach, kale, etc., or can use parsley in sandwiches or in salads.

4. Wear on natural fibers

Synthetic and man-made fibers like Lycra, nylon, etc., obstruct circulation of air around the body, resulting in body odor. Clothes made of natural fibers like cotton, silk, etc., provide proper ventilation of air due to which sweat evaporates and no body odor is produced. So go on shopping and buy clothes made of natural fibers.

5. Run from the sun

Staying out in the sun for a long time not only results in darkening of skin but also makes us perspire a lot. As there is no perspiration there is no question of body odor being produced. Hence stay away from the sun as much as you can and be safe from body odor.

6. Effective way of using antiperspirant

You use antiperspirants but their effect does not long last and you have to face embarrassment in spite of using them. It is because you are not using them in the right way. Apply antiperspirant on your underarms when they are moist. Like you can apply your antiperspirant when you have just dried yourself after a shower. This way of using antiperspirant is more effective as the ingredients of the antiperspirant enter sweat glands more readily, hence putting an end to body odor.

7. Free your feet from bad odor

Though you apply antiperspirants, deodorants, etc., and help yourself to stay fresh, you do forget your feet which are constantly locked up in your boots whole day. Sweaty feet smell a lot as there is no circulation of air around it and hence they produce bad odour. To get rid of it you can put in odor absorbing insoles. These odour absorbing insoles absorb sweat of the feet and also do not allow sweat to stay for a long time. Keep your feet fresh by scrubbing them and drying them completely while taking a shower.

8. Go in for yoga

Join yoga. Yoga is not only good for maintaining overall health but is also useful in managing stress. Studies have shown that a person having stress sweats profusely. Manage stress and you will find yourself fresh than ever before. It will control your sweating and will also control body odor.

The most important thing to be free from body odor is to just relax, follow the above methods and see the difference yourself.
