Hello there! I am 40 years old and my weight is around 82 kgs which is on the higher side. I had my cholesterol check-up done and the report showed that I have high low density lipoproteins with excess of triglycerides. In simpler words it said that I have high cholesterol. I want to know the effective ways to reduce cholesterol? Those ways must be tried and tested. Thanks!

    You know the easiest and best way to reduce your cholesterol level is to do exercise.  If you exercise regularly and burn your extra calories that you consume every day, I am sure you will be able to reduce your cholesterol level. Unless your cholesterol has gone through the roof, which may require immediate intervention, you’re better off taking time to think through your situation and your treatment options. By exercising some control up front, you’re more likely to develop a cholesterol management plan you can truly live with.
    Start taking more fiber in your diet, but remember not just any fiber it should be viscous soluble fiber like psyllium fiber.
    Better beware of the hidden fats and sugar in your food that eat. Keep a check on the sugar and calorie content of every morsel that you gobble.  
    Regular intake of DHA can aid in proper heart function and help lower levels of Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL), or the “lousy” cholesterol3, and raise levels of High Density Lipoprotein (HDL), or the “healthy” cholesterol.
