Hello folks! I am 35 years old and I am a patient of acidity for quite some time now. I was taking gelusil antacid previously but it has a number of chemical constituents which are all harmful in the longer run. I wanted a change and my doctor said yes. He has advised me to avoid oily food, drink fresh fruit juices and use only sodium bicarbonate. I want to know how sodium bicarbonate neutralises acid?
