Usually, hair loss is one of the common and normal signs of newly born babies. The complete cycle of hair growth completes in two basic stages. One is growing stage and another is resting stage. Newly born babies and adults both go through the same cycle in their lives. Basically, babies start showing their hair loss problem at very initial stage of their life. 5. Fever, stress and hormonal variation

Naturally, around 5 to 15% of total hair on the scalp goes for resting stage at a time. However, if your baby is suffering from unfavorable conditions such as fever or stressful conditions then it either slows or completely stops the growing cycle of the hair. The hormonal change is also one of the causes for hair loss. And after about 3 months, your baby will actually start shedding when the new growth cycle of hair actually starts.

6. Nutritional deficiency

Various essential elements required for proper growth and function of body parts. Such as zinc which helps in all kind of metabolism required by the body. Apart from it, vitamin H or biotin ( one of the B-complex vitamins) helps to maintain the glucose requirement by the body on converting carbohydrate into glucose. Similarly, there are many crucial nutrients demanded by all stages of life whether it is a newborn, pregnant women or any adult person.

7. Endocrine problems

If there is fluctuation in some endocrine hormones level specifically the thyroid hormone level then there can be the possibility of hair loss in your newborn. Thyroid hormone is one of the most important hormones of the body required to run the complete metabolism of the body with a constant pace. However, hair loss in babies can occur in case of hypothyroidism, i.e. the condition at which the synthesis of thyroid hormone becomes lesser than the requirement by the thyroid gland.
