I have been told that ganglion cysts are soft and rubbery. I was diagnosed with a ganglion cyst in my wrist, but it is neither hard nor rubbery. It feels like an extension of the bone. I have had x-rays and was told that they showed nothing abnormal. Still, it concerns me that the lump is very smooth and hard rather than rubbery. Is this possible in ganglions? What is the treatment for it?
